چکیده

Cardiovascular diseases take a leading position in the structure of mortality modern society. Most are characterized by uncontrolled processes oxidative stress, proteolysis, tissue and cellular hypoxia, which cause endothelial dysfunction. Tissue hypoxia accumulated with mitochondrial reactive forms oxygen damaging lipoproteins, proteins, nucleic acids plays an important role pathogenesis vascular aging. Cellular aging is decrease number mitochondria, copies DNA, loss protein. In addition to morphological changes, function mitochondria oppressed, at same time activity their proteins enzymes decreases. Changes functions can be secondary response various stimuli associated violation change specific genetic phenotypic conditions. Reprogramming biogenesis occupies central theory one targets for interventions prolonging active longevity.

Oxidative Stress, Mitochondrial Dysfunction, and Aging

Aging is an intricate phenomenon characterized by progressive decline in physiological functions and increase in mortality that is often accompanied by many pathological diseases. Although aging is almost universally conserved among all organisms, the underlying molecular mechanisms of aging remain largely elusive. Many theories of aging have been proposed, including the free-radical and mitoch...

Hippocampal mitochondrial dysfunction in rat aging.

Hippocampus mitochondrial dysfunction with impaired electron transfer and increased oxidative damage was observed upon rat aging. Hippocampal mitochondria of aged (12 mo) and senescent (20 mo) rats showed, compared with young (4 mo) rats, marked decreases in the rate of state 3 respiration with NAD-dependent substrates (32-51%) and in the activities of mitochondrial complexes I (57-73%) and IV ...

Alpha-synuclein: Pathology, mitochondrial dysfunction and neuroinflammation in Parkinson's disease.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a complex, chronic and progressive neurodegenerative disease. While the etiology of PD is likely multifactorial, the protein α-synuclein is a central component to the pathogenesis of the disease. However, the mechanism by which α-synuclein causes toxicity and contributes to neuronal death remains unclear. Mitochondrial dysfunction is also widely considered to play a ...
